Prerequisites
· Threeyears of experience in a storage related function, such as storageadministrator or field engineer
· Sixmonths experience with NetApp storage solutions
· DataONTAP 7-Mode Administration (D7ADM)
Course Objectives
By the end of this course you should be ableto:
· Configureand administer the client/server in an NFS environment stating the rules forexporting resources and explain the /etc/exports access
· Configure,administer, and troubleshoot a storage system in a CIFS environment includingcreating and managing shares, users, groups, and sessions
· Collectand analyze performance data to assist with troubleshooting storage systemhardware, operating systems, network connections, NFS configuration files, andoptions
· Definethe components of a SAN environment and how LUNs relate to the storage system
· ExplainFibre Channel (FC) and iSCSI SAN multipathing options for Windows andLinux-based operating systems
· Listthe methods of storage system and data availability
· Configureand administer SnapRestore®, asynchronous and synchronous SnapMirror®,MetroCluster, SnapVault®, and Open Systems SnapVault
